During my Photoshop station, I learned a lot. Although at times it was frustrating getting the image to do what I wanted, it always worked out in the end. In the beginning i found it difficult to resize an image. In order to solve this problem I looked it up and found this helpful link https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/how-to/resize-image.html. On my next project I didn’t know where to start, so I looked up Photoshop tutorials, and I had an idea.  In order to add contrast in the eyes I had to look it up, and I found this tutorial http://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-editing/lighten-eyes/. I then wanted to add a filter, but I had no idea how so I once again looked it up, and found this very helpful website https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/filter-basics.htm. Although at times this station got frustrating the final project always look well done, and professional.

Using SketchUp April 26, 2017

The architecture station using the SketchUp program made making houses fairly easy and enjoyable. To start out, I just used the box tool to draw rectangles, then used the push-pull too in order to give it a third dimension. After teaching myself to use the simple tools, I wanted to step up my game, so I looked for tutorials to educate me more on this program. After a brief amount of searching, I found a decent video that taught me tools such as the tape measure tool, the offset tool, and even tools that taught me how to use other tools! After my next few trails and much more learning, I constructed this suburban house. My goal for this house was to create a simple, yet detailed realistic house that one could find in a suburban neighborhood. To me, I believe that I have pulled this off pretty well. One tip that I have for future students at this station is to mess round with the RGB values when coloring a house, because there aren’t that many options for coloring. The helpful video that I used was:   https://mastersketchup.com/getting-started-with-trimble-sketchup/ .Tech Final Project

I decided to do 3D printing for my third station because it it a more hands on station, and you also get a tangible final product. First, went through the multi step tutorial on Tinker Cad to get familiar with the program, then I went and watched some you tube videos to get to know some more technical things. Went it got around to the 3D printer, I got help first from Mr. Karden to show me the basics, and then I had students who were already familiar with the 3D printer to help me with the fine things like changing colors of filament for the printer to use. Some tips to success are if you are not satisfied with your model, keep tweaking it because it is very easy to do because tinker cad is a pretty simple program. Some challenges I had were that the 3D printer take a good while to heat up so often times I would run out of time to actually 3D print.

For my second station in tech lab I decided to do Photoshop. I chose Photoshop because it is something I have used before but before I learned very basic things. so this time around I wanted to expand my knowledge of Photoshop and do more complex things. So one thing I wanted to learn is how too put text on a picture. So I ended up finding a you tuber that had what I was looking for and a lot more. This you tuber, Blue Lightning TV Photoshop, has very detailed videos and helps you a lot. I highly recommend this you tuber but only if you have used Photoshop before. He works with very complex stuff so you have to be familiar with Photoshop to use this you tuber as a resource. For my final project I decided to take what I learned from is text n a portrait video and combine it with my filtering skills. So what I did was take a picture of Bob Marley and put text on it a put the typical green yellow red filter on it. I ended up being really happy with the end result. I also really enjoyed Photoshop and its something that I wish I could do for a longer period of time because there is just so much you can do with it. Poster.jpg

in photo shop i made many pictures that all relate to basketball.  some problems i came into were  i didn’t know how to get rid of the background in a hoop. what i then did was i took the magic wound tool and highlighted the wight parts of the picture and pressed delete. another problem i had was getting the players out of  the picture and get only them and not the background. what i did was i took the lasso tool and then did it by hand. whos next
