Glass Blowing Final June 2, 2016

Posted by dkbargell in Uncategorized.

For my second station I did glassblowing, and my final project was a jellyfish. Doing glassblowing is much harder than it looks. Learning about how different heats change the glass and the way to manipulate the glass if the biggest part. A very useful resource this video showing you a very basic technique. Make sure you start simple and build to more complex techniques. Another useful resource is Mr. Karden’s demos which give you ideas to build off of. If something doesn’t work keep trying to make it and adjust your techniques or heat and slow it down. Overall this is a very fun station once you learn the basic techniques.  jellyfish
