Jason’s Google Sketchup March 2, 2012

Posted by engeljas in Architecture -Sketch up.

At the architecture station, there are many things to learn. I ended up making a very nice and big house. It is a difficult program to get at first, but it eventually gets very easy the more you use it. What I did to understand it better was, look up some helpful videos. There are tons of videos out there to help you understand each tool. Also, if you just experiment, you will get to understanding the tool better. What stumped me was, at the very beginning, I didn’t know how to make the first activity’s house. I could not figure out the draw tool for some reason. What I did was, looked on the blog, and then watched some videos to help me figure out how to use the tool properly. To reiterate what I said, videos are incredibly helpful. Another tip would be, use your resources, and definitely look in the R Drive for everything you can. The rubric helps a lot with describing what he wants you to do specifically so you can get the best grade possible. Luckily, this is a very easy program to find videos for because it’s made by google. In fact they have a whole part of google dedicated to this program.
